Pioneers Knock Off #17 Arizona Christian, Have Solid Showing at 2025 Falcon Open

PARK CITY, Kan. --- The RV Wayland Baptist Men's Wrestling squad took down #17 Arizona Christian, 21-19, with four wins coming over top 25 wrestlers in their respective weight class.

The Pioneers followed that up by competing in the 2025 Falcon Open where they had 14 wrestlers win multiple matches in their respective weight divisions.

• 125 lbs. - Cilus Cabral (ACU) wins by decision over Kyren Ramos (WBU) (ACU 3-0)

• 141 lbs. - Michael Trujillo (ACU) wins by tech fall over Noah Ingram (WBU) (ACU 8-3)

2025 FALCON OPEN RESULTS
 
Kyren Ramos went 3-1 in the 125 pound amateur class and earned wins by way of Decision (1) and Falls (2).

George Rodriguez finished 1-1 in the 133 pound amateur division, advancing via a Bye then falling by Decision.

Makaio Rogers went 3-1 in the 141 pound amateur class, earning a win via Bye and two wins by Technical Fall.

Jeremiah Perez went 2-1 in the 141 pound amateur class, winning via Bye and Technical Fall.

Noah Ingram went 3-1 in the 141 pound amateur class, and he picked up two wins by Fall and one by Decision.

Jacob Baltierra went 2-2 in the 149 pound amateur division, earning wins by Bye and Technical Fall.

Thomas Pacheco went 2-1 in the 149 pound amateur division after earning a Bye and winning via Decision.

William Randolph finished 2-1 in the 157 amateur pound class, winning matches via Decision and Major Decision.

Landin Lamberth went 1-1 in the 157 amateur pound class after picking up a win by way of Fall.

Tyrell Robby went 2-1 in the 157 pound amateur class after earning a Bye and winning by way of Fall.

Jayden Sullivan advanced to the second round of the 165 pound amateur division by way of a Bye before falling.

Dayne Stormer finished 3-1 in the 184 pound amateur division after earning a Bye then picking up two wins by way of Falls.

Diego Cordero and Johnathan Owens each advanced to the second round of the 197 pound amateur division by way of a Bye before falling.

Jamarkus Campbell went 2-1 in the 197 pound amateur division after receiving a Bye then winning via Technical Fall.

Bryan Alanis went 2-1 in the 285 pound amateur division after earning a Bye then a win via Fall.

Gabriel Garcia advanced to the second round of the 141 pound elite division by way of a Bye before falling.

Jaden Two Lance went 3-1 in the 149 pound elite division, earning a win via Technical Fall and two by way of Decision.

Emmett Bivens finished 3-1 in the 285 pound elite division after earning a Bye then picking two wins by way of Decision.

 
The Pioneers will return to the mat on Saturday, November 8^th when they travel to Kerrville, Texas to battle Schreiner University.
