Pioneer E-Sports Looking to Build Off Strong Week

Plainview --- The Pioneer E-Sports squad is coming off a successful week that saw them win four straight games, plus the Pioneer Duos did a fantastic job in the Fortnite Championships on Saturday.

Head Coach Duncan Sweeney said, " It was an incredible week for E-Sports Pioneers. WBU E-Sports had multiple teams compete in the Traditional Fortnite Build Championship, but Team Blue ended up at Wayland Baptist's highest scoring team. Team Blue consists of Seth Hernandez and Kyson Hensarling, and the duo scored five elimination points and had their highest match placement at 22nd."

"It took a lot of time and effort just to get here, and I couldn't be prouder of our Fortnite team this builds season," said Pioneer Team Captain Seth Hernandez. "It's an honor just to have qualified for the National Collegiate Championship."

The Pioneer E-Sports squad has a busy week ahead. On Thursday, March 6th, the Pioneers will take on Colorado School of Mines at 7:30 PM (Rainbow Six Siege) followed by a contest against Neumont College at 7:30 PM (Rainbow Six Siege.)

On Saturday, March 8th, the Pioneer Fortnite Zero Build teams will compete in Split #1 of the Zero Build Championships beginning at 2:00 PM.
