Pioneers Continue Their Hot Streak; Take Two From College of the Ozarks

Point Lookout, Missouri – The Pioneers continued their winning ways as they won both games of the double-header Friday against College of the Ozarks, securing their seventh consecutive series win.

Game One
In game one of the series, both teams managed seven hits, but the Pioneers made their hits count for more and came away with a 7-4 win.  Sinclair Pimentel, Arcadio Frausto and Samuel Fabian all had two hits. Fabian had a home run and two runs batted in. Christian Toledo also contributed a home run and three runs batted in.
Tate House pitched 2.1 innings allowing four hits and only two earned runs.
Juan Gil-Franco had another outstanding performance out of the bullpen, with 4.2 innings allowing only three hits and one unearned run. He struck out seven while allowing only one walk.

Game Two
Starting pitcher Felix Polanco helped his own cause when he hit a three-run home run in the top of the first to give the Pioneers an early 3-0 lead. Polanco pitched well and won his fourth game of the season, but his day at the plate was an even bigger story. He drove in four runs and with his double, triple and home run, Polanco was a single away from hitting for the cycle.
Branin Seibert pitched the final two innings, allowing only one hit, no runs while ringing up two strike outs.
Brayden Peyton hit two doubles and drove in four runs. Delvis Claudio also had two hits, one being a double.
Cooper Jauz had one hit, but more significantly with his  two walks he broke the Wayland Baptist school record for most career walks.
