WBU Earns 4th Place in 2024-25 SAC Commissioner's Cup Final Standings

Oklahoma City --- Wayland Baptist Athletics has finished in fourth place in the 2024-2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Commissioner's Cup per the Sooner Athletic Conference offices.
 
The final standings for the year-long competition are determined by assigning a point value for how a school places in the regular season of each SAC-sponsored sport. Then, an average is computed from the points earned and the possible points to determine the winning school.
 
Wayland Baptist finished with a total score of .6946, only behind 1^st place Mid-America Christian (.8673), 2^nd place John Brown (.7670), and 3^rd place Oklahoma City (.7049). The Pioneers earned four Sooner Athletic Conference Championships, which lifted them into the top half of the leaderboard.
 
"The Evangels scored 85 out of 98 possible points to claim the top spot with an average of 0.8673, while John Brown earned second place in the standings by garnering 79 out of 103 possible points for an average of 0.7670. Oklahoma City grabbed 101.5 out of 144 points for an average of 0.7049 to finish third in the year-long competition." per the SAC release.
