John Green

Coach Green enters his second season coaching the short sprints at Wayland Baptist university. His first year at Wayland, John coached the 100, 200, and the 4x100 relay, where he had an athlete make finals in the 100m at SAC conference Championship, and NCCAA nationals. The men’s 4x100m relay also qualified for NCCAA nationals. Coach Green had athletes make finals in the 200 at SAC Championships for both men and women as well as 3 individual NCCAA National Qualifiers in the men’s and women’s 200m and the women’s 100m.

Hailing from Las Vegas Nevada. Coach Green began his track career his senior year of high school. He was offered a track scholarship at Cincinnati Christian University. His sophomore year of college he transferred to Grace College and seminary. While at Grace, Coach Green was the NCCAA 200 meter indoor champion in the year 2020. He also set five school records, a facility record at Manchester University, and was a two time Crossroads league indoor 200 meter champion. He was a contributing factor in the teams back-to-back NCCAA championships. At Grace Coach Green received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sports management and is working on furthering his education. He has dreams of one day being a head coach for his own organization
