High School: Lettered in swimming two years at Faith West Academy…competed in the TAPPS State meet two years…member of 2012 TAPPS State Championship team

Why did you choose to come to Wayland and represent the Pioneers? I loved the small town and small school atmosphere, and being on the first swim team will be a wonderful experience.

How did you get started swimming and how old were you? My father has always been a swim coach so I got started swimming at a very early age. I swam throughout my entire childhood.

What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Winning district in the 500 freestyle or winning the state championship in TAPPS at my high school.

What do you feel like you bring to your team, both athletically and personally? Athletically I bring endurance; I feel my distance swimming will be great. Personally, I love to joke around. I think I’ll bring a positive vibe and lift people up.

What are your goals for the future after college? I want to become an elementary art teacher. I love to teach young kids and I love art, it’s a perfect combination.
