Biography

Parent/Guardian: Angie Gonzalez

2012 at WBU: Started in 31 games as the Pioneers short-stop…hit .278 with two homeruns and six doubles.

High School: Lettered in baseball, volleyball and basketball…all-American student-athlete as a sophomore.

Why did you choose to come to Wayland? I came to Wayland because they told me it was a really good college and that they had a really good baseball program. The team plays in the toughest conference in the nation, which also got my attention.

How did you get started playing baseball and how old were you? I started playing baseball because my dad taught me how to play when I was five years old.

What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Becoming an all-American student-athlete my sophomore year of high school.  

What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? All my ability as a player, and I can help build team chemistry.  

What are your goals for the future after college? I would like to get drafted by a professional baseball team.
