Prior to WBU: Played at Grand Canyon University in 2012 and at Weber State University in 2011…Big Sky All-Academic Team in 2011
High School: Lettered in volleyball three years at Rio Rancho HS…member of the 2008 state runner-up team and the state championship team in 2009…all-district from 2008-09…4th team all-metro in 2009…1st team all-metro in 2011…2nd team all-state in 2009…1st team all-state in 2010…2010 RRHS Student-Athlete of the Year…hold the school record for most kills in a match with 27
Why did you choose to come to Wayland? I chose to come to Wayland because of my prior experience playing for Coach Giacomazzi.Â
How did you get started playing volleyball and how old were you? I was in the 6th grade and played at a volleyball camp held at my high school. I fell in love with volleyball then and there.
What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? It’s a tie between two events. The first, helping my team win the New Mexico state championship my junior year in high school. The second was earning 5th place in the 18 year old open division at Colorado Crossroads in tennis. Â
What do you feel like you bring to your team, both athletically and personally? Athletically I feel like I bring strength; I hit a fairly heavy ball that can give opponents a hard time. Personally I bring a candid attitude and a good work ethic.
