Ben Sanchez joined the WBU wrestling program in 2018.
 
A native of Leominster, Mass., Coach Sanchez attended Northern Michigan University. He wrestled for the USOEC (U.S. Olympic Education Center) at NMU as well as the Olympic Training Center in the 66 kg weight class. He was a two-time University National Champ in Greco Roman Wrestling, a U.S. Open finalist in 2011, and in 2012 won bronze at the Pan Am Championships and competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials.

Coach Sanchez is single and enjoys watching football (especially the Patriots and all Boston teams), and spending time with friends.
