antos, a 6-foot-6, 285-pound junior first baseman from Santo Domingo, Puerto Rico, had a big week at the plate for the Pioneer baseball team. In a single home game against McMurry and a three-game road series against Southwestern Christian University, Santos went 8-for-13 for a .615 batting average. He had a pair of three-hit games and ended the week with a home run, three doubles, four runs, two RBIs and six walks. He had a 1.077 slugging percentage.

Santos and the Pioneers play a doubleheader Tuesday at Eastern New Mexico before hosting Oklahoma City in a three-game series this weekend.
