Deric, a senior pitcher from Lubbock, improved to 4-0 on the season as he led the WBU baseball team to a 6-2 win over Arlington Baptist in the finale of a four-game series. Deric recorded nine strikeouts (one short of his season-high) and allowed no runs on just three hits and one walk in 7 1/3 strong innings. It’s the third time this season Deric has allowed no runs and three or fewer hits while throwing at least five innings.
