Madeline was part of Wayland’s dance team that finished in fifth place at the American Dance/Drill Team Nationals held at the University of North Texas in Denton. The team performed a 2-minute, 45-second routine featuring pom, jazz and hip-hop styles around a “Fire” theme. Judges commended WBU on its high energy level. A freshman, Maddie is a graduate of Dallas Richland High School. Coach Samantha Templar: “Maddie is a hard-working athlete with a very positive attitude. It all paid off at competition. She attacked every movement."
