In winning her first collegiate tournament, Hannah became the first Wayland golfer – male or female – to capture a conference individual title when she finished first at the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships at Twin Hills Golf & Country Club in Oklahoma City. The junior from New Braunfels went from shooting an opening 77 that left her in fourth place and five shots off the lead to firing a tournament-best, 2-under 70 in the second round. She finished on top of a field of 30 golfers from five schools, including two – two-time defending national champion Oklahoma City, ranked fourth, and No. 9 Texas Wesleyan – that are ranked higher than her No. 10 Pioneers. Hannah made four birdies and only two bogeys during her 70 round. Coach Morgan Dockery: “She played great. It was her first collegiate win, so she is really happy.”
