A freshman from Dallas, Tiona turned in the NAIA’s fifth-best triple jump of the season when she measured 12.22 meters (40 feet, 1¼ inches) at the Red Raider Open, hosted by Texas Tech University. She also competed in the long jump with her best effort 5.58 meters, or 18-3¾. She previously had qualified for NAIA nationals in that event. She was named Sooner Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
