In a 42-5 season-opening win over Southwestern College (Kan.), Martinez was successful on all four of his field goals -- from 42, 43, 53 and a school-record 56 yards -- and on all four of his PATs. The four field goals tied his own school record for most in a game. He averaged 62 yards on 10 kickoffs, half of which went for touchbacks. Daniel was the team's leading scorer in the widest-margin win and second-highest point total in school history.
