Shahala led the volleyball team to its second straight Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament title. In 3-1 wins over John Brown and Oklahoma City, she totaled 46 kills and hit .424 while recording two solo blocks and seven block-assists. The senior middle-blocker from Denver City was named the tournament MVP and SAC Player of the Year, both for the second straight year.
