McPherson, a sophomore from St. Catherine, Jamaica, was named the Women's Sooner Athletic Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after running the fourth fastest time in the NAIA in the 600-meter race at the Silver and Cherry Invitational in Albuquerque N.M. Her 1 minute and 30.31 seconds mark broke the school record by more than a second.
