Russell, a junior from the Bahamas who is in her first year at WBU after transferring from Colby College (Kan.), is the Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week. At the West Texas A&M Classic & Multis last week, Russell turned in the NAIA's second-fastest time of the season in winning the 400 hurdles (1:01.72) and the eighth-fastest time in finishing second in the 100 hurdles (14.73). Russell also ran legs on the Pioneers' 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
