Alexis had what Coach Brian Whitlock called "a really good weekend" at the New Mexico Classic in Albuquerque. The junior from Dallas turned in the NAIA's fifth-best triple jump of the season – 17 feet, 3 inches. She also qualified for NAIA nationals in the 600 with a "B" standard time of 1 minute, 37.82 seconds and as part of the 4x400 relay team with an "A" standard time of 3:54.81. Alexis was named Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. "She stepped up. We're real happy with her," Whitlock said.
