Nesty enjoyed a tremendous weekend as the Pioneer baseball team won two of three road games at St. Gregory’s University. The senior catcher from Caguas, Puerto Rico, went 10-for-13 (.769) with a .923 slugging percentage. He was 1-for-3 in the series opener (7-0 loss), 4-for-5 in game two (13-8 win), and 5-for-5 with five RBI in the final game (17-2 win). He ended the series with two doubles, six RBI and accounted for five runs. St. Gregory's went into the weekend as the second-place team in the Sooner Athletic Conference. Lizardi's .516 batting average ranks 3rd in the NAIA.
