Telecia, a freshman from St. Catherine, Jamaica, turned in the NAIA's fastest time of the season in the 100-meter hurdles (14.38 seconds) at the outdoor season-opening Wes Kittley Invitational hosted by Abilene Christian University. She also ran the opening leg on WBU's 4x100 relay team that clocked the NAIA's fourth-best time of the season (47.37). "Telecia looked good. She got off to a real good start (in the 100 hurdles) and then shut it down in the middle. She had a hard week, and we're focusing on the Texas Relays" this week in Austin, WBU assistant coach Remury Henry said. Henry went on to say that Briscoe, the indoor national champion in the long jump and 60 hurdles, has a good attitude, works hard and is always positive.
