Ernesto went 9-for-11 (.818) in three games against New Mexico Highlands and Bacone College. The catcher from Caguas, Puerto Rico, recorded 11 RBI, including eight in the last game of the regular-season that missed tying the school record by one. He also hit two home runs in that game. "Nesty," who was named Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week, ranks third in the NAIA with a batting average of .472 and is No. 28 in hits per game at 1.52. Ernesto has been accepted into physical therapy school at Texas Tech.
