Shykilia placed first in the long jump at the South Plains College Invitational on Saturday in Levelland. The junior from Houston posted the NAIA's second-best mark in the long jump this season, leaping 5.90 meters (19 feet, 4 1/4 inches). Shykilia and the rest of the WBU track team will compete at nationals in Geneva, Ohio, beginning Feb. 28.
