At the Claud Jacobs Challenge in Victoria that opened the spring season for the WBU golf team, Connolly turned in rounds of 72, 78 and 71 for a 5-over par 221 total at Victoria Country Club. The sophomore from England tied for third individually -- his best finish ever as a collegiate golfer -- and helped the 20th-ranked Pioneers to a third-place team finish in an elite 12-team field, seven of which are ranked in the Top 25.
