In his first outdoor competition of the season after recovering from injury, Donte was named Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week after turning in the NAIA’s best triple jump of the season, 49 feet, 5½ inches, at the West Texas A&M Invitational. The sophomore from Copperas Cove is the defending indoor triple jump national champion.
