Keaton, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound senior center from Bridgeport, Texas, anchored an offensive line that produced 386 yards in the Pioneers’ 49-43, four-overtime win over Lyon College (Ark.) on Saturday at Greg Sherwood Memorial Bulldog Stadium. Wayland’s offense cranked out 205 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, including 111 yards and two TDs on 12 carries by Jacoby Hunt and 87 yards and three scores on 19 carries by De’Sean Johnson.
“Keaton paved the way for those five rushing touchdowns,” coach Butch Henderson said. “He has been the mainstay in the offensive line for four years. He is a great leader for our football team.”
