Reese, a 5-foot-10 sophomore shooting guard from Vernon, had solid performances as the J.V. Pioneer basketball team played five games last week.

According to graduate assistant coach Ruben Lopez, who serves as JV head coach, Kirby does everything the right way.

“He’s a high-character guy who does well in the classroom,” Lopez says. “He’s one of our best shooters who plays hard and always does what he’s asked to do. Plus he’s always helping out our varsity team.”
