Trevonta, a 6-foot-2 senior guard from New Orleans, averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.3 assists as the 20th-ranked Pioneers won two of three games last week.
First, Trevonta scored a career-high 26 points in a 92-73 home win over University of the Southwest (N.M.). “Trevonta was awesome,” Pioneers coach Ty Harrelson said.
Then, at the Al Kaly Shrine Classic in Pueblo, Colo., Robertson scored 24 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer as part of a 4-point play with 1.8 seconds left, as Wayland beat NCAA Division II Adams State, 84-80.
"Trevonta made the final three plays of the game, and the last one was a huge," Harrelson said of Robertson, who was named to the all-tournament team.
For the week, Robertson hit 62 percent (24-of-39) from the field, 50 percent (8-of-16) of his 3-pointers, and 79 percent (11-of-14) free throws.
