Macy, a freshman from Visalia, Calif., was part of WBU's cheer team that placed fourth out of 10 teams at the NAIA Southwest Regional Qualifier last weekend in Oklahoma City. It was the most successful showing at such a competition in coach Samantha Spieler’s five seasons at WBU.
 
“Macy came in at the semester from California and was able to quickly learn the cheer routine and be able to compete in a month-and-a-half. She also got her standing back-tuck within that time,” Spieler said. “I couldn’t be more proud of the progress she’s made on the mat.”
