Rebekah broke new ground during the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic at Lincoln Park Golf Club’s West Course. The sophomore from Dumas shot rounds of 77 and 78 to finish in a tie for 26^th place in the field of 109 golfers. It marked the first time Rebekah broke 80 in competition.

“To break 80 twice speaks volumes of how much effort Rebekah has put into her practice. It’s paying off,” WBU coach Leon van Rensburg said.

The Pioneers, who received a vote in the most recent NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll, finished in fifth place. Rebekah and the rest of the Pioneers return to Lincoln Park for the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships this Friday and Saturday.
