Fortune, a 5-foot-8 junior from Ghana, scored both goals in the soccer team’s lone match last week, a 2-1 road win over Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. The goals – the first for Fortune at WBU after she transferred from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M – helped the Pioneers defeat the Saints for the first time ever in their fifth all-time meeting.

The Pioneers (2-0-1) can match last season’s best-ever start to a season with a home win over Howard Payne at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
