Lucie came up with 30 assists – all but two of the team’s total – when the Pioneers faced Texas Wesleyan, taking the Lady Rams to three sets.

“Lucie has great court sense and makes good choices. She is a very experienced athlete,” volleyball coach Jim Giacomazzi said.

Lucie, a 5-foot-10 senior setter from the Czech Republic by way of Laredo College, ranks 26^th in the NAIA in assists per game at 8.7.

WBU next plays at Central Christian (Kan.) at 7 p.m. Friday.
