In game two of a three-game series against Mid-America Christian, Kyle was credited with the win in a 1-0 pitchers’ duel. The junior left-hander from Amarillo gave up just two hits over 6 1/3 innings, fanning five and walking only one. He threw 79 pitches before Gloymer Cuevas came in – with two runners on and one out – and induced a game-ending double-play.
The 6-foot-4, 204-pound Eifert improved to 3-3 this season.
