In Wayland's final game of the 2013 season, Bailey, a junior from Perth, Australia, helped the Pioneers defeat No. 5 Lubbock Christian, 4-1, in last final meeting between the teams as NAIA opponents. Meeting at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament in Shawnee, Okla., Bailey pitched seven innings, giving up five hits and one earned run while striking out four and walking five. He threw 116 pitches.

Bailey's performance came in front of his father, who flew from Australia to watch his son pitch.
