Wayland Baptist swimming and diving head coach Alyson Hannan has been recognized by the American Swimming Coaches Association as Coach of Excellence for 2016.
Each year the ASCA honors coaches who guide swimmers to a top-eight finish at a USA Swimming national-level meet or a USA collegiate championships. The Awards of Excellence listing for 2016 was based on finishes at a number of meets, including the 2016 NAIA Championships for which Hannan is being recognized.
Hannan and the Pioneers had eight individuals with top-eight finishes in a dozen different events at 2016 nationals.
