Morgan Bennett and
Trevonta Robertson have been named WBU Student-Athletes of the Week!
Morgan, the NAIA assists leader (5.75 per game), helped the No. 8 Flying Queens to three wins last week: 65-39 over Oklahoma Panhandle State, 66-57 over No. 5 Oklahoma City on the road, and 91-35 over Central Christian (Kan.). She totaled 27 points, 19 assists, 18 rebounds and nine steals. She recorded her second career double-double and was three rebounds shy of a triple-double (13 pts., 7 reb., season-high 10 assists) against Central Christian. For the week she made 9-of-21 field goals (43 percent) and 7-of-15 3s (47 percent).
Trevonta averaged 14.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games for the No. 11 Pioneers. His best game was a 20-point, seven-rebound effort in a 78-70 win over Central Christian (Kan.). The 6-foot-2 junior guard from New Orleans hit 11-of-15 free throws in that game, and for the week he made 5-of-11 3-pointers (46 percent). Coach
