Former Flying Queens players and coaches returned to the Wayland campus Saturday to help celebrate the program's recent 1,700th victory.

In a pregame ceremony, the Hutcherson Flying Queens Foundation presented the current Flying Queens team, ranked No. 3 in the NAIA, with a 1,700-wins banner that will replace the 1,600-wins banner inside Hutcherson Center. A message from Flying Queens Foundation president Linda Pickens Price was read.

Former players and coaches were individually introduced at halftime, then a post-game reception was held at the Laney Center at which WBU President Dr. Bobby Hall, Queens Coach Jason Cooper, and Darla Armes Ford and Leanne Waddell South with the Foundation spoke.

Former Flying Queens players and coaches in attendance were: Betty Ransom Cagle, Sandy Utterback Ashton, Cathy Wilson, Darla Armes Ford, Carol Sessums Foster, Cassie Blaut Cleavinger, Sheryl Estes, Michelle Wyatt, Rejohn Seay Hayes, Leanne Waddell South, Kristina Edwards Lee, Kristi Schonerstedt Martin, Johnna Pointer, Sharla Harrison, Sally Miller, Becca Whittle Wilhite
