Setter/defensive specialist from New Mexico to join Pioneer volleyball

Kaitlyn Gunn, a setter/defensive specialist from Rio Rancho, N.M., has signed to play volleyball at Wayland Baptist beginning next season.

The 5-foot-7 Gunn attends Valley High School in Albuquerque where she has been a three-year varsity starter and two-time 4A all-district and all-metro honoree. She has eight seasons of club volleyball experience.

Gunn, who plans to major in nursing, ranks in the top 10 percent of her class with a 4.1 grade point average.
