OKLAHOMA CITY --- Wayland Baptist Volleyball players
Fade Ogunbade,
Martyna Lewinska, and
Deniz Yileri have been named to the All-SAC First Team, per the Sooner Athletic Conference offices.
Carlee Heidebrecht was recognized as a Third Team All-SAC honoree.
Ogunbade had a terrific senior season with the Pioneers where she eclipsed the 1,000 career kills milestone in her final game. For the 2025 season, Ogunbade totaled 264 kills (7th in SAC), a .292 hitting percentage, 85 total blocks (5th in SAC), 92 digs, and 336.5 points (3.62 points per set - 4th in SAC).
A native of Wieliczka, Poland, Lewinska did a fantastic job facilitating the Pioneer attack this season as the team's primary setter. Lewinska finished the 2025 season with 898 assists (2nd in SAC), 10.20 assists per set, 207 digs, 21 total blocks, 26 kills, a .158 hitting percentage, and 58.0 points.
Yileri, a native of Adana, Turkey, was a force to be reckoned with around the net for the Pioneers during the 2025 season. She finished with 240 kills, a .182 hitting percentage, 309 digs (6th in SAC), 29 total blocks, 491 receptions to only 18 errors, and 291.0 points (3.68 points per set - 3rd in SAC).
Heidebrecht provided great play for the Pioneers in all facets of the game, and it garnered her Third Team All-SAC honors. For the 2025 season, Heidebrecht tallied 228 kills, a .198 hitting percentage, 283 digs, 37 total blocks, 100 receptions to only 4 errors, and 259.5 points.
The Pioneers finished the 2025 season 15-12 overall record and 14-8 in SAC play, which earned them fourth place and an opportunity to host the opening round of the SAC Volleyball Championships for the first time since 2021.
Elena Kagiali of Oklahoma Panhandle State was named 2025 SAC Volleyball Player of the Year, Attacker of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year. Nick Moore of Nelson University earned SAC Coach of the Year, while JD Boyd of Texas Wesleyan was recognized as SAC Assistant Coach of the Year. Natalie Adams of Oklahoma City was named Setter of the Year, Sydney Alexander of Texas Wesleyan earned Defensive Player of the Year, and Seyi Atolagbe of Mid-America Christian was recognized as the Freshman of the Year.
