LANGSTON, Okla. – Wayland Baptist secured its second win of the season – and first sweep – against Langston University in Sooner Athletic Conference play here Friday night, winning 25-21, 25-15, 25-17.

Jim Giacomazzi said.
Wayland (2-10, 2-5 SAC) hit a season-high .287, getting nine kills from
Carlee Heidebrecht (.333) and seven each from
Chante Moore,
Alexa Hinojos (.313) and
Fade Ogunbade (.583).
The Pioneers logged 19 blocks, with
Samantha Ingram getting six block-assists and one solo block and Ogundbade four assists and a solo.
Brenna Daniel recorded two of WBU's five aces and got six digs along with
Elizabeth Wirth and
Dayana Critchii. Ingram was credited with all but one of WBU's 30 assists.
"We found a way to stay disciplined," Hinojos said.
"We communicated and concentrated,"
Maria Eduarda Motta said.
Said Ogunbade, "We started strong and executed what we talked about."
Ingram said, "We had fun and we got to try new things."
Daniel, meanwhile, wishes she got set more and "is going to have a strong conversation" with her setter!"
Next for the Pioneers is a 1 p.m. match Saturday in McPherson, Kan., against Central Christian (6-12, 1-6), which fell to Oklahoma-Panhandle State on Friday in three.
