In their second and final game in the Master's Thanksgiving Classic, The Flying Queens pull out a 62-58 victory against the Master's University Mustangs who were undefeated prior to this matchup.
The Flying Queens and The Master's University Mustangs played a close game throughout. At the end of the third quarter, the score was tied 39-39. The Queens in the fourth quarter then outscored the Mustangs 23-19 to seal the win.Â
Megan Nestor came off the bench and was a huge impact in the Queens win. In her 23 minutes of time on the floor, she scored 13 points, 9 of those points coming from the free throw line. She also grabbed 13 rebounds had 2 steals, 2 blocks, and was a big contributor in the 4th Quarter that helped seal the win.
Leading scorer from that game was
Linda Brice with 14 points. Second to her was
Emily Sigala and
Megan Nestor with 13 points respectively.
Emily Sigala led the Queens in assists with 6 assists. In the rebound category, behind Nestor's 13 rebounds,
Taylor Houston grabbed 7 rebounds respectively.
The Queens start their Sooner Athletic Conference season on Thursday, November 30th when they face the Mid-America Christian Evangels at 6:00pm in the Hutcherson Center.Â
