Ogunbade Earns NCCAA Volleyball Division 1 Attacker of the Week Honors

Wayland Baptist junior middle hitter, Fade Ogunbade, has been named this week's NCCAA Division 1 Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week after fueling the Pioneer offense to two wins this week over Southwestern Christian and Oklahoma City.
 
A Calgary, Alberta, Canada native, Ogunbade was the offensive force for the Pioneers in their two victories this week. In two games this week, Ogunbade scored 25 kills, two service aces, seven total blocks, and had a .535 hitting percentage.
 
In the Pioneers 3-0 win over Southwestern Christian, Ogunbade finished with 13 kills, 4.33 kills per set, a .706 hitting percentage, two service aces, and three total blocks.
 
Wayland Baptist defeated Oklahoma City in dramatic fashion on Saturday, and Ogunbade starred with 12 kills, a .423 hitting percentage, 2.40 kills per set, and four total blocks.
 
Ogunbade and the Pioneers will take on the Aggies of Oklahoma Panhandle State University in a make-up match from October 15^th on Wednesday, October 23^rd in Dumas, Texas. The match is set to begin at 7:00 PM.
