OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Wayland Baptist senior running back
Keamodre Horace has been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week after his unbelievable performance against Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday.
A native of Center, Texas, Horace was unstoppable in the Pioneers' 33-20 victory over the Aggies. Horace carried the rock 20 times for an astonishing 203 yards and one touchdown, giving him an average of 10.2 yards per carry.
The dynamic running back tandem of Horace and
Damon Ford combined for 376 yards rushing, setting a new program record for team rushing yards in a game and absolutely obliterating the previous record (278 yards).
Horace's 203 yards rushing finished only 10 yards behind the program record for rushing yards in a game (213).
Horace and the Pioneers are on a bye this week, but they will return to the field on Saturday, October 18
th for a massive game against Langston University. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM at Greg Sherwood Memorial Bulldog Stadium in Plainview, Texas.
