Megan Nestor has been named a 2025 NAIA Women's Basketball First Team All-American after her dominant 2024-25 season that saw her lead the Flying Queens to the Second Round of the 2025 NAIA Women's Basketball Championships.
A native of Canaries, St. Lucia, Nestor displayed true dominance all season long. With her statistical averages this season and overall impact provided to a top-ranked Flying Queens squad, it's no surprise that Nestor earned this accolade. Nestor dominated to the tune of 20.5 pts/g, 13.5 reb/g, 63.5% shooting from the floor, and 2.0 stl/g.
Nestor captured the 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year award after leading the SAC in points per game (20.5), field goal percentage (63.5%), and offensive rebounds per game (5.9), while finishing 2
nd in total rebounds per game (13.5).
Nestor's numbers not only ranked amongst the best in the SAC, but also the best in the entire NAIA. Nestor finished 3
rd in FG%, 8
th in total rebounds, and 3
rd in off/g.
Nestor earned the SAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award three times and the NCCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week award twice. Nestor was also named the 2025 NCCAA Women's Basketball Division I Player of the Year, 2025 NCCAA First Team All-American, and 2025 NCCAA All-Central Region Team.

Jason Cooper spoke about Nestor's hard-work this season saying, "I'm so proud for Megan. It's very well deserved. Her hard work has really paid off for her, and she is one of the hardest workers I have ever coached."
Nestor and the Flying Queens ended the 2024-25 season with a 26-5 overall record and 21-3 record in Sooner Athletic Conference play, which earned them a 2
nd place finish. The Queens qualified for the 2025 NAIA Women's Basketball Championships as a 7-seed. They took down Carroll (Mont.) 72-63 but fell short 78-51 against 2-seed Southern Oregon in the Second Round.
Over the two games played in the NAIA National Tournament, Nestor averaged a team-high 29.5 pts/g, shooting 67.5% from the floor, and 13.5 reb/g.
