Kansas City --- The NAIA offices have announced the 46-team field for the 2025 NAIA Baseball Opening Rounds, and the Pioneers were named a 2-seed in the Lewiston, Idaho Region hosted by Lewis-Clark State College.

Wayland Baptist will open their 2025 NAIA Baseball Opening Rounds with a matchup against 3-seed Lewis Clark State College (35-14, 28-9 CCC) on Monday, May 12
th at 2:30 PM.

The 2025 Sooner Athletic Conference Champion Pioneers will be making their first appearance in the NAIA Baseball Opening Rounds since 2016 and third appearance overall. The Pioneers sport a 39-17 overall record and 22-5 in SAC play.

The rest of the Lewiston, Idaho Region seeding features 1-seed Hope International (Calif.), 3-seed Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), 4-seed Oregon Tech, and 5-seed Dickinson State (N.D.).

The other Opening Round matchups in the Lewiston, Idaho Region will be (4) Oregon Tech vs. (5) Dickinson State. The winner of this game will take on Hope International (Calif.) next with the loser facing elimination.

The 2025 NAIA Baseball World Series will be held in Lewiston, Idaho on the campus of Lewis-Clark State College, and with that being where the Pioneers are playing their Opening Round games, they will be looking to make this trip an extended stay in Lewiston.
