HOBBS, NM – The Wayland Baptist Men's and Women's Cross Country teams competed at the NJMC Invitational in Hobbs, New Mexico where the women's squad placed 6
th and the men's placed 7
th. Senior
Inmaculada Delgado earned a 10
th place finish on the women's side after beating her personal best course record.
On the women's side, Delgado paced the Pioneers with a final time of 19:40.6 and an average of 6:20.0 per mile. This is Delgado's best individual finish of the season after two events.
Sophomore
Mercedes Celis earned a 25
th place finish with a final time of 22:01.7 and an average of 7:05.4 per mile.
Seniors
Jazmine Jackson and
Amber Seay earned 43
rd and 44
th respectively. Jackson finished with a final time of 25:03.2, while Seay finished with a time of 25:43.8.
Juanita Pardo finished just behind Jackson and Seay, earning 48
th place with a time of 29:26.3.
On the men's side, sophomore
Ryder Robison paced the Pioneers by finishing in 24
th place with a final time of 27:45.4 and an average of 5:35.0. This is back-to-back events where Robison has paced the Pioneers.
Ethan Jonason finished just behind Robison, earning 27
th place with a final time of 27:50.8 and a 5:36.1 average mile time.
Brandon Marines and
Lonnie Irving Jr. earned 51
st and 52
nd place respectively. Marines finished with a time of 36:13.8, while Irving Jr. finished with a time of 36:32.8.
