CANYON, TX. – The Wayland Baptist men's and women's track and field squads competed in the 2026 WT Jo Meaker Classic over the weekend with multiple athletes having great finishes in their respective events.
Men's Results
On the men's side, the highlight of the weekend came from freshman
Anthony Willis who earned 6
th place in the long jump with a furthest leap of 7.50m. Willis also competed in the triple jump and had a longest jump of 13.63m.

Women's Results
The highlight of the weekend for the women's squad came from
Inmaculada Delgado and
Mia Gray.
Delgado, a Seville, Spain native, took 1
st place in the 5000m run with a time of 18:41.79, defeating 11 other athletes in the event.
Gray, this week's SAC Digital Scoreboards Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, earned 5
th in the shot put with a furthest throw of 13.07m, which was the longest amongst SAC athletes this season.
