PLAINVIEW – Mikayla Carrillo,
Berkley Bradley, and
Kynleigh Kirby have each earned NCCAA All-Central Region Team honors.
A senior from Plainview, Carrillo was one of the offensive enigmas for the Pioneers this season. In 178 at bats this season, Carrillo hit .421 with 3 home runs, 38 RBIs, 75 hits, 17 doubles, and a .680 slugging percentage. Carrillo recently received First Team All-SAC honors.
Bradley, a senior from Canyon, Texas, was an ultra-utility player for the Pioneers this season, showcasing her ability to play the infield and the outfield. At the plate, Bradley hit .394 with a home run, 42 RBIs, 34 runs scored, 67 hits, and a .535 slugging percentage. Bradley was recognized this season as a Second Team All-SAC recipient.
A native of Pampa, Texas, Kirby had an outstanding season as a two-way player for the Pioneers. This season, Kirby hit .356 with two home runs, 31 RBIs, 28 runs scored, 63 hits, and a .497 slugging percentage. In the circle, Kirby tossed 118.2 innings with a 3.83 ERA, 11 wins, 62 strikeouts, 10 complete games, and a 1.64 WHIP. Kirby was recognized this season with as a Second Team All-SAC and Gold Glove recipient.
These three athletes helped the Pioneers reach the NCCAA Central Regional Championship game where they ultimately fell just short to Southwestern Christian. The Pioneers are now waiting to see if they will receive an at-large bid to compete in the 2026 NCCAA Softball World Series.
