Carrillo Earns 1st Team All-SAC Honors, 5 Others Recognized as All-SAC Recipients

OKLAHOMA CITY – Wayland Baptist shortstop Mikayla Carrillo has been recognized as a First Team All-SAC recipient. Kynleigh Kirby, Yaneli Jaramillo, Berkley Bradley, and Reagan Davis-Pena each received Second Team All-SAC honors. Kailee Sanchez garnered All-SAC Honorable Mention honors.

Carrillo, a native of Plainview, Texas, had the best year of her four year tenure as a Pioneer during the 2026 season. She finished the year with a .425 batting average, 3 home runs, 34 RBIs, 16 doubles, 68 hits, and a .706 slugging percentage. She led the Pioneers in nearly every offensive statistical category.

A native of Pampa, Texas, Kirby earned 2nd Team All-SAC and a SAC Gold Glove after her strong 2026 season as a two-way player for the Pioneers. In the circle, she tossed 111 innings with a 3.72 ERA and 59 strikeouts. At the plate, Kirby hit .375 with 2 home runs, 29 RBIs, 60 hits, and a .531 slugging percentage.

A freshman from Plainview, Texas, Jaramillo had a terrific debut season for the Pioneers that lifted her to 2nd Team All-SAC honors. She hit .366 with 22 RBIs, 15 doubles, 56 hits, 30 runs scored, 4 triples, and a .413 on-base percentage.

Bradley, a Canyon, Texas native, capped off her Pioneer career with a 2nd Team All-SAC award. During the 2026 season, Bradley hit .390 with 38 RBIs, 60 hits, 31 runs scored, 12 doubles, 4 triples, and a .429 on-base percentage.

Davis-Pena had a terrific comeback season after missing the entire 2025 season, and her strong season propelled her to 2nd Team All-SAC honors. During the 2026 season, she hit .320 with 25 RBIs, 39 runs scored, 54 hits, 12 doubles, and a .426 slugging percentage.

Sanchez had a strong 2026 season that saw her receive 2026 All-SAC Honorable Mention honors. She hit .296 with 19 RBIs, 42 hits, 18 walks, 27 runs scored, and a .379 on-base percentage.

The Pioneers finished the 2026 regular season with a 27-23 overall record. The 27 wins are the most wins in a season for the Pioneers in program history, and it helped them earn their first ever bid to compete in the 2026 NCCAA Central Regional Championships.

The 2026 NCCAA Central Regional Championships will begin on Friday, May 8th, and the Pioneers play as the 3-seed and open against 2-seed Southwestern Christian at 12:30 PM in Arlington, Texas.
