PLAINVIEW, Texas — Wayland Baptist University Athletics is pleased to announce the hiring of Lane Senn as the University's new Sports Information Director.
Senn steps into the role with a passion for collegiate athletics and a commitment to telling the stories of Wayland Baptist's student-athletes, coaches, and teams. As Sports Information Director, he will oversee the promotion and coverage of all Pioneer athletic programs through written content, statistics, social media, website management, photography, and media relations.
"We are excited to welcome Lane to the Wayland Baptist Athletics family," said Athletic Director Jim Giacomazzi. "His enthusiasm, professionalism, and commitment to serving student-athletes make him a great fit for this position. We look forward to seeing the impact he will have on our athletic department."
Senn is eager to begin his new role and help continue the growth of the Wayland Baptist athletic brand.
"I'm very excited for this new chapter as the Sports Information Director, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have a greater impact in athletics," Senn said. "I'm looking forward to building relationships with our students, athletes, and coaches while enhancing the athletic brand and contributing to the success of the university. As the Sports Information Director, Senn will work closely with all Pioneer athletic programs to provide comprehensive coverage throughout the year while showcasing the accomplishments of Wayland Baptist's student-athletes both on and off the field of play. His responsibilities will include producing game recaps and feature stories, maintaining statistics and records, coordinating media coverage, and enhancing the department's digital presence.
